What is the scientific illustration of marine fauna and flora?

When we talk about marine flora and fauna we are referring to plants and animals that live underwater, in environments with low light and low temperatures: algae, invertebrates and fish. In this sense, when we talk about scientific illustration in terms of marine fauna and flora, we refer to the representation of all these species with their details and stages of growth and development, so that aquatic species are recorded and can be studied and known.

Why is it important to take a scientific illustration course on marine flora and fauna?

Studying and practicing the illustration of marine flora and fauna is important because only in this way can we reproduce the exterior and interior of all species of aquatic ecosystems. Thus, we can know the species, identify them and study them in depth.

This knowledge is relevant to history, scientists and biologists.

Today an illustrator can help scientists illustrate books and help with some research.
